BJ Services

BJ Services Company is a leading provider of pressure pumping and other oilfield services serving the petroleum industry worldwide. The Company’s pressure pumping services consist of cementing and stimulation services used in the completion of new oil and natural gas wells and in remedial work on existing wells, both onshore and offshore. Stimulation services contribute more than 57 % of companywide revenues and consists of fracturing, acidizing, sand control, nitrogen, coiled tubing and down hole service tools. Other oilfield services include completion tools, completion fluids and casing and tubular services provided to the oil and natural gas exploration and production industry; commissioning and inspection services to refineries, pipelines and offshore platforms and production chemical services.

Demand for the Company’s services and products depends primarily upon the number of oil and natural gas wells being drilled, the depth and drilling conditions of such wells, the number of well completions and the level of work over activity worldwide.

BJ Services Company, whose operations trace back to the Byron Jackson Company (which was founded in 1872), was organized in 1990 under the corporate laws of the state of Delaware. Since then BJ Services Company has acquired 19 companies to add to its core competencies. The Western Company of North America (April-1995), Nowsco Well Service LTD (June-1996), (Fracmaster Ltd – July-1999) and OSCA Inc. (May-2002) are several noteworthy additions.

Today BJ Services is a truly global organization with 12,000+ employees. The BJ name represents a convergence of companies, people, innovative ideas and "best practices" -- a robust network of engineers, technicians, equipment operators and business specialists supporting oil and gas operators in virtually every major producing region worldwide.

With roughly $3 billion in annual revenues from combined operations, BJ Services Company is well positioned to lead the industry for years to come.
