- Geosciences - A geoscientist look at the data produced by geophysical, geochemical and geological to develop models of the earth's subsurface with the aim of discovering commercially viable and exploitable reserves of oil and gas. They provide the foundation for the exploration and production of natural resources and for the discovery, development and management of water supplies. They are also involved in the production of reserves and may provide specialist advice for engineering projects.
- Drilling Engineer - Drilling engineers develop, plans, costs, schedules and supervises the operations necessary to the process of drilling oil and gas wells. They work from initial well design all the way through to testing, completion and abandonment. Engineers can be employed on land, offshore platforms or mobile drilling units, either by the operating oil company, a specialist drilling contractor or a service company.
- Petroleum Engineer - Petroleum engineers have to apply technical skills and knowledge to work out there engineering challenges. They work as integrators, connecting subsurface and topside engineering activities to collect the oil or gas from the reservoir to the surface. They try to make the procedure as safe as possible.
- Inspector - They have the job to inspect all the others working to make sure that they are doing the job correctly along with this they have to make sure health and safety is at the highest standards possible.
- Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical engineers work on the development processes and products, ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant, machinery or vehicles. They work on a project from design stage to final commissioning of the new system.
- Electrical Engineer - Electrical engineers have to design and develop electrical systems and there components to specifications needed. They have to focus on the economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability of the operation.
- Civil Engineer (Consulting) - Involved in design, development and construction of projects, and also their maintenance. This could include constructing roads, bridges, tunnels and other major construction projects.
- Civil Engineering (Contracting) - Follow on from the work of the consulting civil engineers and put the plans in motion, oversee actual construction.
- Human resources officer - A human resources (HR) officer develops, advises on and implements policies relating to the effective use of personnel within an organisation.
