Several Works Main Contractor Muirfield (Contracts) Ltd provide a broad range of services across most sectors of the building industry, and over eighteen years in business have earned a solid reputation for the fast and efficient completion of contracts as diverse as industrial projects, student accommodations, leisure and recreational facilities, offices and housing association projects, social and private housing developments and schools.
Muirfield is organised into four divisions, each individually managed and operated by a dedicated team.
Major Works:
Muirfield\'s Major Works division is a highly experienced main contractor, developer, management contractor and partner, capable of co-ordinating and planning all aspects of a building contract, whether refurbishment, modernisation or new build.
Muirfield Major Works is particularly adept at handling the more unusual contracts, such as work on historic buildings, difficult sites or very large scale projects. A good example of their success in this area is St Johns High School, Dundee; Angus Council Headquarters, Forfar; Grange Golf Club, Monifieth; Housing Developments, Perth; Keavil & Garvock Hotels, Dunfermline; Housing, Liff.
Minor Works:
Minor Works handles smaller contracts of up to £200,000, such as internal refurbishments, ground works, extensions and stonework repairs, providing highly experienced and skilled personnel dedicated to the highest standards of work regardless of the scale or value of the project.
Specialist Works:
Added to the Muirfield portfolio of services in 1995, Muirfield Specialist External Wall Insulation and Render Systems Division has carried out contracts as the main contractor or as subcontractor to some of the major construction companies in Scotland. As associated members of INCA, the Insulated Render & Cladding Association, Muirfield are approved applicators for Sto, Permarock, Alumasc, Powerwall and Eglinton insulation systems, selected to help improve properties cosmetically and thermally, as well as providing traditional plastering and rendering. Notable projects for the Specialist Works Division have included the AECC; Ninewells Hospital; Aberdeen\'s New Royal Sick Children\'s Hospital; QMRC Building, Dundee; Office Block, Broxden, Perth; Student Residences, Hawkhill, Dundee
Civil Works:
Muirfield\'s Civil Works division carries out Site Development and Sub-Structure Work including drainage, major groundwork and landscaping. Projects to date have included the refurbishment of a section of Perth High Street using high specification materials such as Chinese granite and Cheshire sandstone, ensuring access to pedestrians and shopkeepers at all times.
